Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Injection Works

Specific Area Only: This quotation covers only the specific cracks or injection points listed in the Scope of Works. It does not constitute a guarantee to waterproof the entire structure.

“Chasing Water” Exclusion: The Client acknowledges that sealing one entry point may result in water migrating to the next point of least resistance (hydrostatic pressure transfer). Any new leaks that appear outside the specific linear meters treated in this quote are considered new works and will be quoted separately.

2. Hidden Voids & Re-Quoting

Re-Evaluation: Should our technicians encounter hidden voids, honeycombing, or large cavities behind the surface that require excessive material usage, work on the affected area will be paused.

Variation: The scope will be re-evaluated and re-quoted to reflect the actual material and time requirements necessary to fill these voids. Work will only resume upon acceptance of the revised quotation.

3. Surface Finish

Packers Not Removed: Upon completion, mechanical packers will NOT be removed. They will remain installed in the substrate.

No Cosmetic Make-Good: The Client accepts that the packers will remain visible. No cutting, patching, or covering of these packers is included in this scope.

4. Site Protection & Resin Spillage

Contractor Protection: We will take reasonable measures to protect the immediate flooring and surroundings (e.g., drop sheets/plastic).

Spillage Risk: The Client acknowledges that injection involves expanding chemical foam under high pressure. While care is taken, unpredictable “blowouts” or splatter can occur. The Contractor is not liable for resin over-spray or staining that occurs despite reasonable protection measures.

Access: The Client must move all furniture, vehicles, and personal items at least 2 meters away from the work zone. We are not responsible for damage to items left within this radius.

5. Substrate Integrity

Pressure Risks: The Contractor is not liable for minor spalling, blowouts, or damage to tiles/finishes caused by poor quality, weak, or “crumbly” existing concrete/masonry.

6. Subsurface Services & Scanning

Service Location Liability: The Client is responsible for identifying and marking the location of all subsurface services (e.g., plumbing, electrical conduits, gas lines, or post-tension cables) within the slab. Econyc is not liable for any damage to services that were not clearly reported or marked prior to drilling.

Documentation: In the absence of accurate “As-Built” drawings or physical markings provided by the Client, Econyc accepts no responsibility for accidental strikes to hidden infrastructure.

Concrete Scanning Exclusion: This quotation does not include concrete scanning (GPR). If the Client requires scanning to be performed by a third party before works commence, this must be arranged and paid for by the Client, or requested as an additional costed variation.

7. Expansion Joints & Negative Waterproofing

Negative Side Waterproofing Limitations

No Guarantee of Success: The Client acknowledges that Negative Pressure Waterproofing (applying Maxseal Joint/Elastic to the inside face of a structure) is a remedial attempt to manage water ingress. Due to the unpredictable nature of external water pressure and the condition of the hidden substrate, Econyc provides no warranty or guarantee that this application will completely or permanently stop the leak.

Adhesion & Substrate Moisture: Effectiveness is highly dependent on the bond to the existing concrete. If the concrete is saturated, contaminated, or continues to degrade from the outside, the coating may delaminate or fail over time.

Expansion Joint Dynamics

Structural Movement: Expansion joints are designed to move. While Maxseal Joint/Elastic is a flexible system, if the building’s structural movement exceeds the product’s maximum elongation capacity, the seal may rupture.

Joint Environment: Econyc is not responsible for failures caused by excessive joint movement, settlement of the building, or extreme hydrostatic pressure that forces the product away from the substrate.

Maintenance & Monitoring

Ongoing Inspection: Remedial joint repairs are considered a maintenance item. The Client is advised to monitor the area regularly. Any follow-up applications or repairs after the initial installation will be treated as a new scope of work and charged accordingly.
